Donations
We raise our funds locally and receive no funding from Habitat for Humanity International. We support the efforts of Habitat for Humanity International by tithing 10% of all donations for use in building Habitat houses in developing countries unless the donation is restricted for use in Grayson County.
For much of our history, we have been able to build "a house for a house"—one house internationally for each house built in Grayson County. To date, HfHGC has donated more than $50,000 and has built 17 houses in developing countries, and our current international partner is Haiti. That's a street full of families who would otherwise be living in poverty or overcrowded housing. We would love to visit every one of those families some day!

Nine new homes from Alcoa!
Habitat for Humanity was recently the recipient of a tremendous donation from Alcoa, Incorporated. Aloca donated 24 pallets of foam-backed siding that will be used for the next nine Habitat homes. This is Alcoa's top-of-the-line insulated siding panel. Mark Strozensky, spokesman for Alcoa Home Exteriors, said, "I am glad that we are able to support Habitat for Humanity in Grayson County in our final stages of operation. It appears that this will cover your anticipated building rates for the next three years."
